Established in 1872, Eufaula City Schools is the oldest city school district in Alabama and is the heartbeat of this beautiful southeast Alabama city. | Eufaula City Schools Meet AYP Standards |
| 8/17/2007 10:21:07 AM |
According to the Alabama Department of Education's Adequate Yearly Progress Report for 2007-2008 (based on 2006-2007 data), Eufaula City Schools and each individual school in the system made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in all three components--Reading, Mathematics and Additional Academic Indicators.
"We are extremely excited to have made adequate yearly progress (AYP) goals as a system and in each individual school. It is a wonderful achievement to be at 100% of AYP, making every goal. Our teachers and administrators have been under a great deal of pressure to make AYP. We realize that being committed to raising achievement levels must be about raising the expectations of achievement in all children throughout the system. Parents, teachers, administrators, board members and staff are to be commended and should be proud of the student achievements in Eufaula City Schools," said Dr. Barry Sadler, superintendent of Eufaula City Schools.
